Immersive Learning Day Children learnt all about the origin story of Rome, exploring the Roman Rulers, lands of the Roman Empire and even having a go at becoming Roman soldiers in battle!

Homework Children are expected to practice their multiplications for 15 minutes a week, 5 minutes x 3 times a week on TT Rockstars would really benefit them.
Children are also expected to read 3 times at home a week. There are a list of prompt questions in the back of their reading diaries to support with questions if needed.
Learning in Summer Term
This term, the children will be learning about the Romans. As part of their learning they will explore Roman society, architecture and legacies left behind.
English
The children will be exploring fiction texts including 'Roman Diary' and 'Empires End' writing their own endings and versions of these narratives. They will also explore non-fiction texts such as newspapers and explanation texts!
Maths
The children will be focusing on decimals and fractions at the start of summer term. They will then move onto time, money and position & direction.
Children will also continue to practice their multiplications throughout the term.
Science
The children will be learning about Animals including Humans in Summer 1, exploring through lots of fun experiments. They will then finish the year learning about Sound.
