At Ireland Wood we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all our children. If you have any concerns about a child at our school, please talk to us. The following people are our Designated Staff for Child Protection.

If you see something outside school which makes you worried about a child's safety, you should contact social care on 0113 222 4403.

If you have an urgent concern about a child, or you need advice or information, you can call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you think a child is in immediate danger, do not delay - call the police on 999.

NSPCC Helpline

The Department for Education has commissioned the NSPCC to establish a dedicated independent helpline for people who have experienced sexual abuse in educational setting. 

Anyone who gets in touch through this dedicated helpline will also be signposted to other relevant support services available, including Childline, which provides ongoing support and counselling to children and young people.
