Learning in Summer Term

This term, our topic is Romans.

We will be learning about the Roman Empire and its impact on Britain, including key firgures such as: Julius Caesar, Emperor Claudius and Boudica. We will also be learning about what the Romans did for us, exploring the legacies that they left behind. 

English
We will develop narrative writing based on 'Roman Journal, Diary of Iliona' and 'Empire's End, A Roman Story'. As well as this, we will be developing our non-fictional writing, through newspaper articles and explanation texts.

Maths
The children will be focusing on decimals, money and time in the first half term and then shape, statistics and position/direction in the second half term. 

Science 
The children will be learning about 'Animals including Humans' and 'Sound' this term. 

P.E
P.E continues to be on a Monday, with swimming on a Friday.
