Learning in Summer term

Writing.
This term in writing we will be starting with writing narratives based on Saxon myths. We will be using stories and books that link to our Anglo Saxons and Vikings topic for inspiration, including Odd and the Frost Giants and Viking Boy. We will also be using Odd and the Frost Giants for our guided reading lessons in Summer 1. 

Maths.
We have done lots of work so far this year on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as fractions, decimals and percentages. We will further this work this term with addition and subtraction of decimals. We will also be covering lots of different topics too, including statistics, position and direction, angles and negative numbers.

Science
We will be learning about Animals including Humans in Summer 1. This will focus on changes in human beings as we age and will tie into our PSHE topic of puberty this term. In Summer 2, we will be learning about Living things and their habitats with a focus on life cycles.
