Today we became bakers and decorated our own biscuits. The children also found buried valuables that had been hidden to save them from the Great Fire. The children also completed a variety of art tasks.

Today we acted out our Great Fire of London stories in groups. The children broke down the story into the four parts that they will write about next week.

Today we learnt about germination and planted seeds. We will be observing our plants and recording their growth each week.

Today we explored the different jobs that children could do during the 17th century. The children had a go at baking, cleaning and embroidery.

Today we thought about how what we eat can help us keep healthy. We created a delicious snack.

The children had a wonderful day at Temple Newsam. They learnt all about the Great Fire of London and took part in an interactive timeline. They all enjoyed their lunch outside in the sunshine.

In preparation for our instruction writing we made a kite! We had a great time.
