Parents' SATs Information Evening
This PowerPoint provides parents with guidance regarding SATs 2024. The information will also be detailed in the KS2 SATs Information Evening on 12th March 2024.
Homework
Year 6 will be set homework twice a week: on Tuesday (due in on Friday) and Friday (due in on Tuesday). It will follow specific pages in the CP study guide books given to the children by the school.
Spellings will continue to be set and tested on Wednesdays.
The reason for this increase in homework is to help ready the children for high school. We will ensure that the homework is broken down into small manageable chunks, which the children can complete independently.

Week 2 Maths - Due 23.01.2024 - Written Subtraction (pages 4-7 of Arithmetic SAT Buster study guide).
Week 2 Reading- Due 26.01.2024 - The Baking Battle Inference (pages 8-9 of Reading Fiction SAT Buster study guide).
Week 3 Maths - Due 30.01.2024 - Multiplying and Dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 (pages 8-9)
Week 3 Reading - Due 02.02.2024 - The Baking Battle Word Meaning, Summary and Structure questions (pages 10-11)
Week 4 Maths - Due 06.02.2024 - Using Times Tables, Multiples and Factors and Short Multiplication (pages 10-13)
Week 4 Reading - Due 09.02.2024 - An Underground City Fact Retrieval (pages 6-17)
HALF TERM EXPECTATIONS
- 3 x read at home (and written in planner)
- 3 x 5 minutes TTRS practise
