Learning in Spring Term
This term, our topic is Exploring Europe.
We will be learning about the different countries in Europe, exploring a range of cultures and traditions. We will be completing a range of map work activities and become familiar with phrases such as biomes, flora, fauna and tropics.
The children will be taking part in a Red Kite Alliance Poetry competition at the start of the term. The poetry will be titled, 'This is me!'. We will develop narrative writing based on Michael Morpurgo's, Toro, Toro! We will also be developing our own tourism guides and developing a year 4 recipe book based on the foods which are enjoyed across Europe.
The children will be focusing on multiplication and division at the start of the term. We will then continue onto learning about area and perimeter. Later in the term, the children will explore fractions and decimals.
The children will be learning about Living Things and their Habitats. We will be visiting Skelton Grange as part of our learning.
Immersive Learning Day
As part of our Immersive Learning Day, the children took part in an exciting flamenco workshop. They tasted a range of Mediterranean foods and discovered landmarks which can be found across Europe.
Please find attached the maths and #littlethings homework for this term.
