School Trip Lotherton Hall Year 3 had a fantastic day out at Lotherton Hall. They got to see a variety of animals that live in the rainforest from birds to mammals. They enjoyed a rainforest workshop looking at snake skins, skulls and fossils. Well done year 3!

Homework
Weekly maths homework is provided for the children. We also encourage the children to practice their times tables everyday at home. Every child has access to TT Rockstars to allow for extra practice.

Learning in Spring Term
This term, our topic is exploring the Rainforests.
We will be learning all about the different Rainforest of the world and becoming familiar with geographical phrases such as hemisphere, deforestation, habitat and many more.
English
The children will be taking part in a Red Kite Alliance Poetry competition at the start of the term. The poetry will be titled, 'This is me!'. We will also be writing a persuassive letter discussing the use of palm oil all around the world.
Maths
The children will be focusing on multiplication and division at the start of the term. We will then continue onto learning about legnth and perimeter. Before moving on to fractions later on in the term.
Science
The children will be learning about Plants as our main focus in Science .
