We have become aware that there is an issue with the Y6 Teams account. While our lovely Mr Hogg is looking into it, we will also be putting each week's work here. There will be Maths, English and a Topic lesson. Spellings are already on this site and we may include handwriting practice too. Try to do two active PE sessions in the week as well. :) Here is a suggested timetable for while you are off.
Please find here the work for this week: Myth Writing (to finish) Maths (Percentages, Pre learning sheet for Algebra and 3 algebra sheets) Watch the Home Learning Videos from here: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning?year=year-6 and Topic - Key features of UK (Seas and rivers) Spellings are attached and so is your handwriting task.
Here you will find Maths, English (Writing a Myth) and Topic work. The Maths videos on White Rose Maths are very useful! https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning?year=year-6
We know that these often get lost/mislaid or covered in gunk in a school bag, so here is this term's newsletter!
We are all so looking forward to our residential in March (14-18th) this year! :) Kestrels - 14-16th March Owls - 16-18th March Please find here all the necessary information/paperwork. There is the info about Low Mill, the equipment/kit list, the itinerary and also the medical Form, which needs to include your child's Medical Number. (You may need to ring your doctor's surgery for this). We have also attached the Low Mill powerpoint we shared at the parents' meeting.
The children in Year 6 enjoyed a variety of activities to help launch their new topic, Wild Water. Did you know a Haiku has only 17 syllables? Or that water makes up 71% of Planet Earth?
Just in case you lose/forget/mislay your spelling sheet, please find them attached here.
