WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear Y5 and your parents/carers,
You will find all that you need for your distance learning on these pages.
The Autumn stuff is under the Autumn leaf, and the Spring stuff is under the Spring leaf!
Our live lessons will take place at 9:15am (English) and 1:30pm (maths) Mon-Thurs.
On a Friday, you will have only the 9:15am live.
We look forward to seeing all of your smiley faces there!
You will find all of your tasks under 'assignments' in Microsoft Teams.
If you have any questions, please email year5@irelandwood.leeds.sch.uk.

Many thanks for all of your support,

Amy Pliener and Angie Georgeson
Guides for parents and carers

Here are two guides that will help you with finding your child's work. One is about reading, and the other is information about Microsoft Teams.

Y5 Timetable

Here is a suggested timetable for the children to follow. This is the order that work will be uploaded onto Teams.

Holocaust Memorial Day 2021

We were delighted to work with the poet, James Nash this year. He showed us how to create poetry inspired by the Holocaust. The children imagined they were in hiding and showed a deep level of empathy. This was all done through on-line learning, which, to us, makes it feel even more impressive. Here are a selection of the finished poems. Well done, Year 5.

Distance Learning Superstars!

We have been so proud of all of our Year 5 children who have been working incredibly hard during this unusual time. Here are some pictures of the children's fab work!

Homelearning

Here is the homelearning information updated on 17th March 2021. Please let us know if you need anything else.
