And finally....onto division!! We're only focussing on short division today... you will get plenty of time to recap long division in y7 and we are sure it'll all come flooding back!
Today - continuation of addition/subtraction but more of a problem solving approach.
Right guys - this week is our final full week of Maths lessons before high school. Can you believe that? So rather than use Bitesize, we have decided to revisit the 4 operations (you know what these are by now!)... and the methods we use for them in Y6. These will serve as excellent reminders ahead of your Y7 transition so please make sure you're secure with them. You need to work your way through the PPTs, remembering not to peek but check your answers to the questions on the following slide.
Check daily for slides and answers :-) Remember, if you're unsure about anything, you can always drop me an email!
Here you will find your daily EBM slide plus the answers for the previous day. Remember, spend a few minutes marking and no more than 20 minutes on today's slide. All you need to do is try and get a few more done in that 20 minutes each day and check out any you got wrong and you score should rocket by Friday!! :-)

I have got into the swing of it now!!! Remember to mark your work from yesterday and spend no more than 20 minutes on Wednesday's questions. Can you get further than you did on Tuesday or Monday?
So sorry! I forgot! (Mrs A) I have been in school all day, sorting out classrooms for next week and totally forgot! Anyways.....here is Tuesday's, plus answers for Monday!
Give yourself no more than 20 minutes to do as many as you can. Each day, the types of questions will stay the same, but the numbers will alter. You know how it works!! (Answers tomorrow)
We hope that these documents will help if you cannot access the internet every day. We are using a range of tasks from your CGP books and printable/visible worksheets for each objective. There is also an investigation for if you finish your task early.
Here are a couple of investigations for Wednesday...enjoy them. Answers tomorrow.... (PS Sorry about the Palindrome Mix Up on #4 - I don't know what I was thinking!!! I will do better from now on....)
Here are a couple more extensions for you to have a go at when your daily maths task/activity is done.
This weeks maths learning!
I will add to these daily so if you complete your maths tasks in quick time (but not too quick, we hope!!) you can have a go at these....
Here is Friday's session:
Maths: challenges
Have a go at these maths puzzles – they will help you revise/use the 4 rules of number and algebra.
Have a go at this Maths before you try anything else. This is a week of lessons - as long as you spend between 30-50 mins on Maths, that is fine! Please write your answers either on the print out of these worksheets (if you have a printer) or in your Home Learning books. Have fun! From Mrs A/Mrs S

Task: You need to watch the video and complete the two interactive videos.
One area you can really brush up is ARITHMETIC! Because this is one area of the Maths curriculum we have absolutely completed this year! So lots of arithmetic tests are attached here. Some are the usual length...some are only half. (If you cannot print, simply copy the questions into your yellow book....and allow yourself an extra 5 or 10 minutes) Usual time: 30 mins to complete long test 15 mins to complete half tests (Answers are on the final page....no peeking until you have finished!!) Edit: It says no documents have been added. I am working on it...…...
