We have had such a brilliant day at the farm. We have measured out and mixed up milk feed for the calves; collected fresh eggs from the hen house; been on a tractor ride; walked around the paddock; held guinea pigs and even had time for a play! We have had such a busy day that it was hard to stay awake on the bus ride home. Thank you to all the adults who made today such a memorable visit for all the children.
Ceira has been using an iPad to make her own mini film about doubling on the farm!
Reception (and the rest of the school) have been super excited to see the chicks hatch this week. ALL 9 of the eggs have successfully hatched and the chicks are thriving in their temporary home in Reception. Next week, we will be making observational drawings of the chicks and choosing names for them. We will also be writing sentences!
As part of our minibeasts topic this half term, we has a visit from a real life bug parade! We really enjoyed learning some interesting facts about these creepy crawlies and even got to hold some of them. Ask your child what facts they can remember and how many minibeasts they can name. Which is your favourite minibeast?
