As part of our topic work, rivers, we have designed, created and tested flood proof houses

This half term's topic has been classification. During this topic we explored classification of all living things, including the Linnaeus system of classification. To explore classification further, we created branching diagrams using sweets. Through this we were able to classify each sweet based on its characteristics.

Again, our Y6s worked well in small groups creating a gadget idea for Alex Rider (Stormbreaker). Then they tried their 'pitch' out on our two dragons - Agent Strahand and Dame Georgeson (both of whom have secret contacts with spy organisations, it seems....)

We had so much fun on our first day of the spring term when we invented grammar stories for the New Year!
