Year 5 had an epic time in London! We packed so much into our 3 days and loved every minute. Our film crew is currently editing our London Video 'Look Out, London'. Watch this space!
Today, year 5 have been honing their basketball skills with a special workshop. We practised dribbling, shooting and passing and had a lot of fun.
Year 5 have had lots of fun learning about cube numbers by making and building them.
Year 5 have been researching why we raise money for Children in Need and presenting their findings to each other.
Year 5 have been debating which creatures we should evict from the Forbidden Forest. We held a 'Ministry of Magic' meeting and voted. The children have produced some excellent writing and presented their work with confidence.
We had a fantastic day at 'Hogwarts' creating spells and potions. Thank you to all our parents for equipping our witches and wizards for the day!
Year 5 have been developing their DT skills this week by designing and making their own Anglo Saxon jewellery. They planned their designs carefully, based on artefacts, and created moulds our of clay, which we then poured plaster into. When they had dried, they painted them and used gems to decorate them. Don't they look fabulous?
Year 5 have had great fun this week trying to get their heads around the size of our solar system.
5B had an excellent morning at Pizza Express learning how to make pizzas. The products were delicious! 5G will be going next Wednesday.
