PHONICS SCREENING

Ahead of the Year 1 phonic screening which will take place in June, we have attached some words for your child to practise at home. These words are a mixture of real and fake (nonsense) words. They have been taken from the government website for phonics screening 2016. To practise the words your child will have to blend the letter sounds. Please encourage your child to practise reading the words as much as possible!

English Jack and the Beanstalk

Over the past few weeks we have been focusing on story telling. The children used their imagination to come up with fantastic ideas for their own story. Here are a few examples.

World Book Day

We had a great day, the children enjoyed sharing their favourite stories and completed book reviews.

Spring 2 - Would you like to swap homes with Queen Victoria?

We will be learning all about different types of castles and Queen Victoria. The children are already beginning to think of some interesting questions they wish to find out.
